’m Nancy Moon, founder of Moon PR. With three decades of experience in the world of high-profile public relations - from Fortune 500 companies to grass roots charitable efforts - I thrive in
building long-lasting relationships that will open a multitude of exciting doors for your team. Public relations relies on seeking your potential spotlight, and I know how to find that light. My time as agency of record for Microsoft Corporation’s Director of Corporate and Public Affairs in New York City, Director of Communications for Madison Square Garden, and working with The Hampton Classic Horse Show for nearly 30 years has shown me what a fabulous and exciting career PR is. Passion is the utmost driver in creating success, and it takes experience to effectively streamline that passion to the market. Let’s work together to establish your company’s voice, presence, and reach.

Joining a flag expedition with fellow explorers.
New York City, always.
Spending an afternoon with my beehives.
Reading three newspapers, all before my morning smoothie.

support the non-profit & advocacy world because I understand that it’s the integrity of people and organizations that can make a difference. It’s been my privilege to have worked alongside some of our most devoted philanthropists, including high-visibility non-profit agencies such as the DISHES for Pediatric AIDS, Aspetuck Land Trust, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Meryl Streep’s Mothers and Others, Scholarship America, VoteRunLead, Swim Across America, and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
y work connecting Microsoft with The Explorers Club and BioBlitz is a career highlight for me - creatures great and small were recorded by the world’s scientists in an ambitious effort to catalog the array of non-human life forms of Central Park. I serve on the board of the Aspetuck Land Trust, one of the most beloved charities of the late Paul Newman. Leading their public relations efforts for now over 12 years has been a treat and also working to garner press for such notables as James Prosek, Bill McKibben, and Doug Tallamy. It is an honor to be on the advisory board of The NY Wild Film Festival, an annual festival showcasing documentaries that highlight exploration, adventure, as well as wildlife and environmental conservation.
here is a glory in the world of public relations where we have the chance to tell amazing, timeless stories: NFL superstar Eli Manning provides support to a tournament of blind golfers, James Taylor sings songs for charity that an entire audience can recite by heart, and explorers and adventurers show their film at the New York Wild Film Festival. Some of my most cherished days in the last 30 years were working as a consultant with Classic Communications, the PR force behind the Hampton Classic Horse Show. I believe olympians, explorers, and amateurs alike all have great stories to tell and I have had the joy of helping to share those stories.
lients want to know how to connect with key people. As the Agency of Record for Microsoft in New York, I spotted a chance to bring Bill Gates to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce to speak to members, connected Microsoft to the Explorer’s Club to support BioBlitz, and worked alongside the China Institute to promote an executive summit. JHoward PR hired me to support her PR efforts for MakerBot, a 3D printer company making huge breakthroughs. As a board member of the Chamber I was later honored to receive a Galaxy Award from the New York Women’s Agenda for my contributions to the city.
am not a dancer, singer, or actor, but my inspiration is never limited. The Project VDAY Westport brought much-needed attention to stopping violence against women, The Equus Projects brings professional dancers, horses, and their riders together to create performances around the globe, while Treehouse Shakers encourages young people to experience their connection to the community through theatre. My passion for Cuban dancing allowed me to work with a team of travelers to support dancers, and I can’t forget the quirky 100 Tubas in Grand Central Terminal - beloved by both attendees and the media alike.
